Emma Barnes-Lewis

2022/2023 Supply Chain Reporting Fellow, University of Bath

Emma Barnes-Lewis is the supply chain reporting fellow at the Global Reporting Centre. Emma’s work focuses on modern slavery and on how policies affect survivors’ lives. She is passionate about bringing the voices of survivors’ experiences into the narratives about modern slavery to shape and inform policies. Emma holds a Masters in Global Governance and a Public Services BA.

Emma’s career background has spanned a wide range of sectors in the UK including the National Health Service and financial services working as a programme manager across domains such as marketing, products, propositions, digital, public affairs and operations.

As the 2022-2023 Supply Chain Reporting Fellow, Emma will be working on project that will uncover the realities facing survivors of modern slavery in the wake of controversial changes made by the UK Government to public policies (such as the introduction of the Nationality and Borders Act and changes to the current Modern Slavery Act).
