Tricia Smith, O.C., O.B.C.President of the Canadian Olympic Committee

Four-time Olympian and Olympic rowing silver medalist, Ms. Smith has been the president of the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) since 2015 and was elected as a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in 2016. A practicing lawyer and UBC alumna, Ms. Smith is also a member of the Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame and the BC Sports Hall of Fame. She received the Carol Anne Letheren Award (2006) for International Sport Leadership.  She was recognized among WXN’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women in Canada (2018), and selected among the most influential women in sport by the Canadian Association for the Advancement of Women in Society.  In 2017 she received a Lifetime Achievement Award from Rowing Aviron Canada.
