Charles Tsai is a venture philanthropy strategist who works with innovators around the world to empower youth in underserved communities. He collaborates with foundations, companies, and innovative nonprofits to scale solutions that have the potential to create better education and employment pathways for millions of youth. Most recently, he helped lead global grantmaking efforts of Fossil Foundation. Charles also produces articles and documentaries on emerging trends in education and social innovation.
Charles began his career as a reporter and producer for CNN, working for the network’s newsmagazines and educational newscast, CNN Newsroom. He received a B.A. in English Literature and Rhetoric from the University of California at Berkeley and an M.A. in Journalism from Columbia University.
